Product Description
Akari Light Sculptures, designed by Isamu Noguchi, are considered iconic works of 1950s modern design. Starting in 1951, Noguchi designed these paper lanterns, which were handmade by the original manufacturer in Gifu, Japan for the following half-century. These lanterns perfectly blend Japanese craftsmanship with modernist forms.
The lamps are made from handcrafted washi paper and bamboo ribbing, supported by a metal frame.
